Trip to Colorado Springs
Airport security at JFK was intense. This was my first flight since 9-11 so I was prepared for the new heightened alert security. Especially in the wake the new code orange nervousness. Overall the lines were long but not overly annoying.
The flight was good though. Jetblue rocks. I ended up with a window seat in the front so took lots of pics out the window with my cell phone and camera as we arrived over Colorado.
Finding my way around Colorado Springs is not too easy. The highways are often unmarked making for lots or wrong turns and guessing. I touched base with Alan Higbie K0AV here in Colorado Springs after checking into the Silver Saddle Motel in Manitou Springs located a few hundred yards of Garden of the Gods. So the plan is to do to ride there tomorrow morning if the weather holds out. Shifting to Mountain time should make an early morning ride easy.
